Welcome To My Resume

My name is Darren Freeman. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Security. This degree program is unique because not only does it cover traditional Computer Science. also encompasses many principles of cyber security as well. I have exposure in the world of DevOps for about 3 years. I have been attending AWS seminars hosted by Amazon Web Services while learning various aspects of cloud automation architecture, such as monitoring, scripting, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

  I worked professionally with Kura Labs utilizing AWS infrastructure. I’ve done everything from deploying EC2 servers to setting up development environment using infrastructure and code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. I also have experience deploying a fully functional web application utilizing a fully fleshed-out CI/CD pipeline.

I am passionate about DevOps and reliability, and I hope there is a possibility that I can bring my skills to your company and help to contribute to its continued reliability and availability to its customers. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Kura Labs   Infrastructure Automation Fellow                                                              July 2021 – Present

  • Deployed applications utilizing Amazon Web Services such as Elastic Beanstalk and Elastic Container Registry

  • Configured infrastructure environment using infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and Terraform

  • Utilized tools such as Nagios and Prometheus.io to continuously monitor network bandwidth, memory usage, and hard drive status

  • Built and pushed Docker images AWS Elastic Container Registry

  • Managed infrastructure automation of AWS EC2, S3 Bucket, and RDS including subnets, load balancers, and VPCs

  • Utilized Elastic Beanstalk to enable the automatic provisioning of necessary AWS resources such as RDS and S3

Air Ducky | Game

  • Designed and developed game with Swift using SpriteKit framework; animated using image arrays; used cocoapods to install firebase for mobile ads

 

Weather Point | RESTful API Weather App

  • Pulled real-time weather data using Open Weather API and Core Location framework

  • Utilized networking to automatically update weather data

  • Used GPS location to give the users current weather conditions in their immediate vicinity
